In the automotive industry, compliance with delivery dates and quality are key factors in the choice of a service provider. We were tasked by one of our customers with designing a plant for mechanical machining operations that would make processes more efficient and ensure ultra-high plant availability.
During the conception phase, care was taken to adhere to short logistics routes. Parts are fed automatically via a conveyor system to one of the 16 handling robots, which put the components suitable for machining in the mechanical processing cells. Each machining unit has a chain of 3 parts.
This plant which we designed works completely self-sufficiently. This means that each processing unit has its own protection circuit, which prevents the system from grinding to a halt during the maintenance or servicing of a robot. This way, we achieved an extraordinarily high plant availability.
Antrok was completely in charge of the conception, planning, production, programming and installation of the system. We were able to implement the project from idea to commissioning in less than a year.
