With a length of over 40 meters, the four-storey continuous heat treatment plant belonging to our client from the automobile sector is the largest plant for structural and chassis components in Europe. Antrok was significantly involved in the construction and installation of the plant. The plant underwent a retrofit in 2018.

With the aim of reducing the susceptibility to failures, the manipulators were tested and the chains, drive wheels, drive rollers and defective parts were exchanged. To improve stability, during the process the furnace rails of the carts were replaced by an improved and fixed version, which will reliably prevent slippage in the future.

Following this, the sliding contacts for the power rail of the water bath and the air shower were checked and services alongside the repair work on the control cabinet for the water bath following damage. In future, additional safety will be provided by the integration of a safety temperature circuit for the gas stoves, which will automatically switch the system to fault if the temperature is exceeded.
